Course Content
- Review of relevant regulations & codes of practice
- Review of Basic Scaffold Inspection Course
- Review of SG4:05 Preventing Falls in Scaffolding & Falsework
- Assessment of knowledge & experience
- Protection of the public
- Interpretation of scaffold design drawings
- Method statements
- Introduction to risk assessment for scaffolding
- Scaffolding fault finding exercise
- End test
Training method
A highly participative course, with a practical inspection to compliment the classroom theory session.This course can be delivered on client’s premises depending on facilities and delegate numbers
An area set aside from the normal working area will be required along with a suitable scaffold for the practical session.
A room large enough, with an electrical supply will be required for the theory session.
Safety Equipment
All delegates should have available & bring with them the following safety equipment:- Overalls / Work clothes
- Gloves
- Safety shoes/boots
- Hard Hat (This will only be used if other scaffold is erected on site)
Number of Delegates
As little as 1 delegate on our open scheduled courses. In-company courses can be arranged for a minimum or 8 and accommodate a maximum of 12.Certification
The delegate who successfully completes this course will recieve an in-house UTN certifiacte.Note
This course meets the criteria for CITB grants.The UTN administration section will give full support for the application of this grant.
UTN provide each delegate with a buffet on all our full day courses.
