CISRS Advanced Scaffold Inspection
This training is intended for persons responsible for inspecting complex scaffolds, holding a CISRS Basic Inspection Card or a CISRS Scaffolder card and who are required to complete reports in accordance with Work at Height Regulations 2005.

Full Details
Who For
This training is intended for persons responsible for inspecting complex scaffolds, holding a CISRS Basic Inspection Card or a CISRS Scaffolder card and who are required to complete reports in accordance with Work at Height Regulations 2005.
We would require delegates to have held the Basic Inspection Card for a minimum of 2 years prior to attending and Advanced Course.
CISRS Scaffolders are eligible to attend this course. They would be required to apply for a separate CISRS Advanced SITS card.
We would only expect this course to be taken by those persons who are required to inspect complex tube and fitting scaffolds on a regular basis e.g. a full time Scaffold Inspector, Scaffold Supervisor, Project Engineer etc.
Course Content & Objectives
At the end of the training the delegate will be able to:
• State the relevant legislative requirements for scaffold inspection.
• Interpret Scaffold design drawings for inspection purposes.
…and will be able to inspect, and record the findings of such an inspection for:
• A Basic Design Scaffold
• Two-Way Shore
• Raking Shore
• Dead Shore
• Slung scaffold
• Staircase scaffold
• Temporary Roofs
• Truss-out
• Temporary ramps
• Cantilever drop
At the end of the training the delegate will be able to:

Training Method
The successful achievement of the above training objectives will be demonstrated using the following assessment methods:
• Practical Test – Inspection of a complex/designed scaffold (pass mark 100%)
• Written Test – 20 question exam (pass mark 80%)
Certification
Delegates who successfully complete a CISRS Advanced SITS Course will be issued with a certificate of attendance as a record of their training. Upon completion of a CSkills H&S test, they will be eligible to apply for a CISRS Advanced Scaffold Inspection Card.
Note
This course meets the criteria for CITB grants.The UTN administration section will give full support for the application of this grant.
