CITB Site Management Safety Training Scheme - SMSTS
A five day course delivered as day release over five weeks, this industry recognised course will provide companies who need to meet the ever increasing demand for evidence of health and safety compliance with all the relevant knowledge to meet today's legislative demands.
This course is appropriate for everyone involved in line management, including charge hands, foremen, supervisors, site managers, project managers, as well as proprietors of smaller companies.

The course covers The Health & Safety at Work Act and the regulations relevant to the construction industry and includes:- Site set up

- Risk Assessment
- Method Statements
- Scaffolding
- Electricity
- Excavations
- Demolition
- Confined Spaces
Training method
A highly participative course, with case study exercises for House Building, Civil Engineering, Factories & ancillary buildings, Demolitions, Refurbishment and New Roads & Street Works.Courses can be arranged to meet client's timetables and work schedules. As an alternative, places can be booked onto our open / multi client based courses.
Number of delegates
As little as 1 delegate on our open scheduled courses. In-company courses can be arranged for a minimum or 10 and accommodate a maximum of 20.Books Provided

Certification
The delegate who successfully completes this course will recieve an accredited CITB Site Safety Plus certificate.Note
This course meets the criteria for CITB grants. CITB registered companies will be able to claim £26.00 per person per day. In addition an achievement grant of £190 is available to successful candidate.A total of £320.00 is available for delegates who successfully complete.
The UTN administration section will give full support for the application of this grant.
UTN provide each delegate with a buffet on all our full day courses.
It must be stressed to all course attendees the need to attend ALL sessions since without full attendance the CITB will not award the Construction Site Manager's Safety Certificate.
