Objectives
- To train delegates in the correct method to be employed when carrying out Manual Handling tasks, to help reduce the risk of injury.
- Have an understanding of duties and responsibilities under the Health and Safety at Work Act, Manual Handling Regulations and other current relevant legislations.
Training method
Highly participative with both theory and practical sessions highlighted by use of Spine Model. Laptop and Videos with group and individual exercise. Written test.On site Requirements
- Training can be carried out either in UTN Training Centre or on customer’s premises.
- Room large enough for theory session with electrical supply for use of Television, Video and Laptop.
- Area set aside for practical session with varying objects for movement.
Number of delegates
As little as one delegate can enrol on to our scheduled open courses.In-company courses can be arranged for a minimum of eight delegates and accommodate a maximum of twelve.
Certification
The delegate who successfully completes this course will recieve an in-house UTN certificate.Note
This course meets the criteria for CITB grants.The UTN administration section will give full support for the application of this grant.
UTN provide each delegate with a buffet on all our full day courses.
