Full Details

To meet the legal requirements which came into place on April 6th 2011, all NRSWA Supervisors MUST undertake and successfully complete a reassessment for all units that they already hold before they can re-register their card.  i.e. if the card states units 1 + 10 - 14 + 16 then all of these units MUST be reassessed.

Each Unit reassessment consists of a 10 question multiple choice exam paper which must be completed (under exam conditions) within a 30 minute period.

Each unit exam requires a pass rate of at least 80% (8 out of 10 questions correct) and all units MUST achieve this pass rate before the card can be renewed.

Course Content

  • Unit 001 - Location & avoidance of underground services - refresher and exam
  • Unit 010 - Monitoring Signing, Lighting & Guarding - refresher and exam
  • Unit 011 - Monitoring Excavation in the highway - refresher and exam
  • Unit 012 - Monitoring Reinstatement & compaction of backfill materials - refresher and exam
  • Unit 013 - Monitoring Reinstatement of non-bituminous sub-base & road-base materials - refresher and exam
  • Unit 014 - Monitoring Laying practices and reinstatement of cold lay bituminous materials refresher and exam
  • Unit 016 - Monitoring Reinstatement of modular surfaces & concrete footways refresher and exam

Training Method

Each unit is covered by approximately one and a quarter hours of classroom input followed by the 30 minute exam.

Number of Delegates

As little as 1 delegate can book onto our open scheduled courses.  In-company courses can be arranged for a maximum of 12.

Certification

The delegate who successfully completes all the unit exams will receive a renewed Scotvec card accredited by Street Works Qualification Register (SWQR)
