What is the IPAF Operator training E-Learning?

IPAF's E-Learning training provides a flexible and enhanced online learning experience for mobile elevating work platform (MEWP) Operators. It can be completed on various devices anytime, anywhere, at your own pace.

IPAF's E-Learning for MEWP Operators is available for all MEWP categories (1a, 1b, 3a, 3b) and takes about three hours to complete, depending on your MEWP knowledge. The E-Learning module is divided into manageable sections for you to complete at your own pace. You can save and resume your training at any time. When you have successfully completed the online E-Learning course, you must also complete a minimum of a half-day of practical training and testing before being issued a PAL Card as proof of your qualification for the IPAF Operator training.

How does the IPAF Operator training E-Learning module work?

The E-Learning module uses facial recognition, so a device with a front facing camera is required. This could either be a laptop or a tablet, for example. On successful completion, you will receive an e-Receipt. You will then need to book to complete the practical session within 90 days of your successful E-Learning completion and test at one of our 20 nationwide training centres.

Key benefits of the IPAF Operator training E-Learning module

  •    Learn at your own speed; the course module is broken down into manageable sections that you can repeat on demand

  •    Less time away from the office/site

  •    AM & PM timeslots are available to conduct the practical training and test

  •    20 locations available from which to complete the practical training and test.
