Confined Space Training – Overview
The Confined Space Operative Training course is a CITB grant-funded course, for individuals who enter confined spaces such as manholes, shafts, and chambers or those who assist with confined space operations. This course is designed to provide delegates with a thorough understanding of confined spaces, associated dangers and the ability to enter, work and leave them safely by horizontal and/or vertical entry. The 1-Day course is currently delivered in Wakefield, Liverpool and the UTN Midlands Training Centre in Birmingham.
Confined Space Training Courses from UTN Training
Working in confined spaces can be high risk. Several people are killed or seriously injured in the UK each year when working in confined spaces. Unfortunately, those that try to rescue them are often also at risk due to poor training.
This programme is designed for managers, supervisors and operatives who may be required to make an emergency excavation from a confined space using escape breathing apparatus.
Training courses under this category relate to the specific Confined Spaces Regulations 1997, which regulate work within confined spaces, associated legislation and ACOP.
