What is IPAF?
The International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) promotes the safe and effective use of powered access equipment worldwide in the broadest sense – through providing technical advice and information, influencing and interpreting legislation and standards, and through safety initiatives and training programmes. IPAF is a not-for-profit organisation owned by its members, which include manufacturers, rental companies, distributors, contractors and users. IPAF members operate most of the MEWP rental fleet worldwide and manufacture about 85% of platforms on the market.
What IPAF courses are available from AFI?
UTN are one of the UK's leading approved IPAF training providers to deliver a range of courses. We offer a wide range of working at height courses such as Operator Training - 1a 1b 3a 3b, IPAF PAL Plus, IPAF Harness, and IPAF MEWPs For Managers, to name but a few.
Why do I need IPAF certification?
IPAF qualifications are required to use all of our fleet and the fleets of other members of IPAF because operating a MEWP without the proper experience is dangerous. Successful trainees receive a PAL Card (Powered Access Licence), a safety guide, a log book and a certificate.
Why choose UTN for IPAF Accredited Training?
Because the AFI directly hires UTN's staff, they operate closely with all the machines we use - as a result, our staff are some of the most knowledgeable in the industry. With nearly 30 years in the training business, we have a strong training heritage of which we are immensely proud.
