CITB Health and Safety Awareness Course (Online)

The CITB Health and Safety Awareness Course Online 1 day course will be delivered remotely via Microsoft Teams Video Conferencing. The course will follow the same structure as the classroom based course the only difference is that you will attend the course remotely.

You will need access to a Laptop or PC computer with a webcam, microphone and speaker; some tablets can run Microsoft Teams so please check your hardware prior to booking your course.

Course Content

The CITB Health and Safety Awareness Course online will cover the following topics;

  • General Responsibilities

  • Health & Welfare Introduced

  • Work at Height

  • Manual Handling

  • PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)

  • Handheld Equipment & Tools

  • Site Transport Safety

  • Accident Prevention Reporting

  • Noise & Vibration

  • Hazardous Substances

  • Electrical Safety

  • Emergency Procedures & First Aid

  • Theory Test (multiple choice)

 

Final Qualification

On successful completion of the course the delegates are awarded the Construction Industry Training Board (Site Safety Plus) Certificate in PDF format. This will be sent electronically to the course booker.

This course is a prerequisite to obtaining the CSCS Green Labourers Card.

 

Additional Information

It is mandatory that you attend the full day of this remote course.

Course publications will be provided electronically prior to the course commencing.

Photographic ID is required at course commencement (Passport, Photo card Driving License or CSCS photo Card)

At the end of this virtual SMSTS course delegates are required to sit an exam consisting of 25 questions, The exam will be delivered via Microsoft Forms (no special software is required). These will be completed in groups of 6 candidates per exam sitting.
