FAQs on Health and Safety Courses

What is a Health and Safety course about?

The purpose of health and safety is to protect workers, contractors, customers and the public. As an employer and employee we all have a duty of care under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 but more than that, it's good business practice to adhere to health and safety laws. Accredited health & safety courses provided by IOSH and NEBOSH provide best practices in keeping everyone safe.

What is the best Health and Safety course?

This depends on the delegate looking to study the health and safety course and their goals and/or their businesses objectives.

Whatever your needs, at UTN training our friendly team will help you to decide which health and safety course is for you.

NEBOSH or IOSH course?

NEBOSH courses are aimed at professionals who are seeking a career in health and safety management.

IOSH courses are aimed at employees and managers who don't have specific responsibility for health and safety or are working in a lower-risk industry but benefit from having a good understanding of best Health & Safety practices.

Both professional bodies courses lead to nationally-recognised qualifications.
